Nine years with the guzheng
与古筝相伴的九年

For nine years, Claire Zhang has studied guzheng alongside her academic work. Under the guidance of Chen Wenying, her study has progressed from foundational technique to musical interpretation and the performance of complete works. Through this traditional Chinese instrument, she has continued to engage with Chinese instrumental music through careful listening, practice and refinement of her playing.

九年来，Claire Zhang 在日常学业之外持续学习古筝。在陈文英老师的指导下，她的学习从基础技术逐步延伸到作品理解与完整作品的演奏。通过这件中国传统乐器，她持续接触中国传统器乐的表达方式，在练习中细心聆听，并不断尝试与调整。

Preparing a complete recital
从单首作品到整场独奏

The entire recital programme is performed by Claire Zhang as a soloist. Preparing a complete recital involves refining individual works as well as shaping the transitions between them: moving from one piece to the next, responding to changes in musical mood and style, and sustaining concentration and continuity throughout the performance.

本场曲目均由 Claire Zhang 独奏。整场独奏的准备既包括逐首打磨作品，也包括曲目之间的衔接：如何从一首作品进入下一首，如何在不同的音乐情绪与风格之间转换，以及如何保持整场演奏的专注与连贯。
