Zaili Tian was born in the city of Baotou, Inner Mongolia in 1958. In 1977, he was admitted to the Department of Folk Music of the Central Conservatory of Music with a major in Hugin family (including erhu and others similar instruments), where he studied under Professor Lan Yuxi. Graduated in 1982 and stayed on as a professor. He initiated “Gao Hu” and “Guangdong Music” Elective at the Central Conservatory of Music in 1985 and 2005 respectively.

He has won the first prize of the “Shenxingong Music Scholarship”; of the Central Conservatory of Music in 1991-1992, and the advanced personal title of “San Yuren” in 1992-1993 and 1999-2000 (The Central Conservatory of Music is considered as the best music school in China).

Since the “Tian Zaili Erhu Solo Concert” (held at the Beijing Concert Hall in 1990), he has held many solo as well as teacher-student joint concerts in Beijing, Inner Mongolia, Hong Kong, Singapore and many other cities overseas. He has been invited to Europe, the United States, Asia and other countries and regions to give lectures, public performances and music exchanges. With over 30 years of teaching and performing he is still earnestly and rigorously working and enjoying his career of music.

In 1987 and 1992, he led a team that won the first place at the national “Guangdong Music” Invitational Tournament, and the international “Jiangnan Sizhu (a 4 string erhu)”; competition. His students have won numerous gold, silver and bronze awards in major instrumental competitions. Most of them have continued their careers as professional musicians in major colleges and orchestras.

田再励

田再励,中央音乐学院民乐系教授,博士研究生导师;著名二胡演奏家,教育家。1958年出生于内蒙古包头,自幼酷爱音乐,六岁开始学习笛子、二胡。1977年考入中央音乐学院民乐系,师从蓝玉崧教授,1982年毕业留校任教。

1984年在“北京第三届青年二胡演奏会”比赛中获第三名。1987年作为中央音乐学院“广东音乐”小组的领队和高胡领奏赴广州参加第四届“羊城花会”广东音乐邀请比赛获演奏一等奖;1992年率队参加上海第二届海内外江南丝竹创作与演奏比赛获专业组演奏一等奖。其学生在国内重要比赛中多次获奖:

金玥获2000年第八届台北市民族器乐协奏曲大赛第二名;孙婷1994、1997两届获得“龙音杯”中央音乐学院民族器乐比赛一等奖;徐梦鸽获得2005年“中录杯”少年组一等奖,2009年cctv全国民族器乐大赛少年组铜奖;徐雯怡获2009年cctv全国民族器乐大赛青年组优秀奖。曾荣获中央音乐学院1991-1992学年度“沈心工音乐奖学金”一等奖和1992-1993、1999-2000学年度“三育人”先进个人称号。在教学演出之余,还担任海内外重要音乐比赛评判工作。先后录制出版了《刘天华二胡曲集》、《阿炳全集》、《现代二胡名曲》、(广州白天鹅音像出版社)《广东音乐》(中国文联出版社)等二胡、高胡个人专辑;《音乐课堂》(广州杰盛)、《名家名曲》(北京环球)等VCD教学片;著有《二胡基础教程》(中国戏剧出版社)。出访日本、韩国、新加坡、马来西亚、泰国、香港、澳门及英国、法国、加拿大、匈牙利、芬兰等国家和地区演出、讲学。1990年以来分别在“北京音乐厅”、包头、西安、江西九江、新加坡、香港等多次成功举办个人二胡独奏会和师生音乐会。
